Rally for Decriminalization

Join Unite Oregon's Rally for Decriminalization in Salem!

In 2020, voters passed Ballot Measure 110 to decriminalize small amounts of drugs and provide treatment instead of incarceration. We expect the legislature to pass House Bill 4002 without any of our input. It will recriminalize possession and completely undo what voters worked so hard to pass.

In a Racial Impact Statement shared by the legislature, it was stated that African Americans will be criminalized at a higher rate and Latinx people will serve longer sentences than white Americans. They have heard hours and thousands of testimonies, calls, and emails asking them not to pass this bill, and yet, they feel they have to in order to save their political campaigns because polling, media, and wealthy former chief of prisons, Max Williams, told them to. Lets show them otherwise.
