Tualatin Hills Parks & Recreation District Focus Group #2

Hey there, Washington County members! Do you live within the boundaries of the Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District (THPRD)? Do you want to help THPRD understand immigrant and refugee communities' needs and desires for parks and recreation services? We want you to join us for two focus groups in October!

THPRD is in the midst of a community visioning process to better understand people's diverse and expanding interests. We're working with them to gather community feedback on people’s needs and expectations for park and recreation services. Through this public engagement process, THPRD's goal is to connect with as many people as possible to better understand their needs.

Individuals will receive $50 for their participation.

Focus Group Two: Thursday, October 17 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Event location, Beaverton Swim Center. 12850 SW 3rd Street Beaverton 97005. It is accessible by Trimet bus #’s 52, 76, & 78. (located next to Beaverton High School).

NOTE: all participants MUST live within the boundaries of the Tualatin Hill Parks and Recreation District. Not sure if you live within THPRD's service area? Just head to http://www.thprd.org/activities/am-i-in-district and enter your address to find out, or reach out to us!

Canvass in Support of Metro's Nature for All Campaign

Join Unite Oregon for a Canvass in Support of Nature for All!

Join Unite Oregon's Washington County Chapter for a canvass in support of the Nature for All campaign! We'll have the chance to talk with community members about the importance of maintaining and preserving our natural areas across the Metro Region.

The Nature for All campaign has a critical opportunity to put community first and build lasting relationships that span beyond Election Day. That's why we are going door to door and talking to voters directly.

We recognize that it's not just about winning, it's about having meaningful conversations with our community about why access to parks and green spaces is so important, regardless of your zip code, income, race, national origin, or ability.

Nature for All, also known as Measure 26-203, delivers on that access by making thoughtful investments distributed across Washington, Multnomah and Clackamas County, and informed by our communities.

  • Date: Saturday, October 19th
  • Location: Unite Oregon's Washington County office. 12745 SW Beaverdam Rd., Beaverton, OR 97005
