Pan-Immigrant Leadership and Organizing Training (PILOT)

For the last 15 years, Unite Oregon has organized our Pan-Immigrant Leadership and Organizing Training (PILOT) program, to address the challenges faced by emerging immigrant and refugee leaders and groups through leadership and skill-building convenings.

We believe that the people who are most affected by the issues should take a leadership role to solve those issues. We facilitate and provide PILOT trainings, using a popular education model, for our community to organize cross-culturally, allowing them to take charge. The popular education model encompasses interactive, participant-driven, community-rooted training sessions which build skills and power while creating spaces for community members to identify responses and solutions to the struggles they face.

We engage cohort members in our campaigns throughout the program year through engagement in our Six Pillars: Climate Justice, Housing, Community Safety, Health Equity, Education, and Equitable Community Development.

We are now accepting applications for our 2024 PILOT cohort! . Apply here or at the application below.

All participants are required to COMMIT to attending ALL program dates listed below to graduate and receive a  certificate. Any missed sessions need prior communication (no exceptions). Please view the PILOT Participant Qualifications.
