The Unite Oregon Action Agenda is a list of our policy priorities for the 2023 legislative session. All campaigns were voted on by our membership at the Annual Action Agenda Summit.

HB 2990: Community Resilience Hubs

Building resilience before, during, and after climate disasters through community-designed and operated hubs with surrounding networks.

HB 3462: Emergency Housing for All

Ensuring emergency housing meets fair housing requirements, is accessible to those who don’t qualify for FEMA, and access to immediately accessible resources.

Led by: Unite Oregon Rogue Valley Chapter and Housing Justice for All coalition

HB 2001, SB 611, HB 2733, HB 3169: Affordable Housing & Homelessness Prevention Package

Preventing homelessness by providing rental assistance, eviction reforms, reasonable rent limits, and accessible rental market data.

SB 579: Guaranteeing the Right to Vote

Guaranteeing the right to vote for people impacted by the criminal legal system including adults in custody.

SB 610: Food for All Oregonians

Expanding food access to all Oregonians who are currently excluded from SNAP benefits due to immigration status.

Led by: Unite Oregon Clackamas Chapter and Food for All coalition

Fair Minimum Wage Formula

The Fair Minimum Wage Formula will establish a formula by rule for setting a minimum wage rate. The formula will consider the current housing market and will calculate a minimum wage rate that will allow Oregonians to afford a one-bedroom apartment.
