Unite Oregon Fire Relief Fund
2020 has been an incredibly difficult year for the communities we organize. Immigrants, refugees, people of color, rural residents, and working-class folks have already been hard hit by COVID-19 and economic downturn. The hits keep coming: in the last week, tens of thousands of people across the state have been forced from their homes because of the disastrous wildfires in southern Oregon, the Willamette Valley, and just outside the Portland metro area. Those of us who have not felt the physical effects of fire are experiencing a range of illnesses from the toxic air that has covered the sky across Oregon.
We are working to support community members who have been impacted by these fires, at the same time that we are still doing direct relief work for people harmed by COVID. We can't continue to do this work without your support. In this unprecedented, global crisis, we cannot leave our friends, family, neighbors, and community members behind. We must work together to support those who cannot support themselves.
Contributions to the Unite Oregon Fire Relief Fund will be used to support vulnerable community members wherever Unite Oregon organizes, prioritizing those left out of existing relief programs.
Unite Oregon is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and thus all donations to our Fire Relief Fund are fully tax-deductible.
