We Are All Oregon Coalition
Unite Oregon is proud to be a founding member of the We Are All Oregon Coalition, dedicated to fighting for the rights of our communities while reminding our country's leaders that compassion and humanity can overcome differences to make us stronger - together. We will raise our voices and organize with those who have sought refuge in Oregon, people who are our beloved neighbors, teachers, coworkers, and representatives in Congress. We Are All Oregon is part of We Are All America.
Since the 2016 election, now-President Donald Trump has launched assault after assault against immigrants, refugees, asylum-seekers, and Muslims. We've seen travel bans on refugees and people from Muslim-majority countries; the rapid dismantling of the US refugee resettlement program; and the loss of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for hundreds of thousands of people across the US. At a time when our communities are facing a radical increase in hate crimes and violence, partly inspired by the President's violent rhetoric, we must come together to stand up and fight back.
We Are All Oregon will uphold and strengthen our state's commitment to welcome and protect those who seek freedom, safety, and refuge in Oregon. We will organize people across religious, cultural, and national differences to build vibrant, inclusive communities where ALL of us belong. And we can't do that without your help.
