Join Unite Oregon for our Virtual Advocacy Week, 3/15-3/19!
Led by people of color, immigrants and refugees, rural communities, and people experiencing poverty, Unite Oregon works across the state to build a unified intercultural movement for justice. As the pandemic exacerbates disparities in our already-vulnerable communities, it will be even more important for Oregon to serve as a leader on equity and inclusion. We look forward to working with Oregon legislators this session to find common-sense solutions to the challenges our communities experience, and to help this state thrive.
In 2021, we are supporting legislation which improves opportunities for the communities we serve, by removing police officers from schools; supporting vulnerable refugee communities to thrive in our state; expanding access to childcare for stressed families; protecting and supporting affordable housing, and ensuring the swift implementation of Measure 110 which decriminalized the possession of small amounts of drugs and fund recovery centers across Oregon.
This year all of our meetings with legislators will be happening virtually. Please RSVP with your home address! We need this to ensure that you are able to meet with your representatives. Once the meetings are set up, we'll be in touch with you!
