Community Conversations on Portland Police Contract

Community Conversations on Portland Police Contract

Unite Oregon has been working on issues of Police Accountability for several years, with the goal of ensuring that our communities are safe from profiling and police violence. Part of our history stems from the campaign to pass the End Profiling Act in 2017. Now, we're working at a local level on police accountability in Portland.

In September we held a press conference on the Police contract (a news article is available here or you can watch the video)

On December 16th, we want to invite you to a public forum on policing, hosted by the Mayor of Portland, Ted Wheeler. This meeting takes place on Monday, December 16th at 6pm at Portland Community College SE Campus, and the goal is to share our communities' perspectives on policing and police accountability.
