Muna is a first-generation Somali American refugee who was raised in the Corvallis area. She studied Political Science as well as International Relations. Prior to working as a part of the Washington County Leadership Council, Muna volunteered with Unite Oregon's various efforts including being part of the SW Corridor Cohort as an interpreter. Muna also was a part of giving testimony for SB 577 (the Larnell Bruce Jr. Hate Crimes Act), and Portland's withdrawal from the Joint Terrorism Task Force. Outside of working with Unite Oregon Muna enjoys spending time with family and friends, swimming, camping.
