BUILD Latino Parent Organizer
Maria Delgado is a Parent Organizer trains and mobilizes Spanish-speaking, Latino, and Immigrant parent in Portland Public Schools. With over ten years of social justice activism in health care promotion, political engagement, ballot measure campaigning experience, Doula certification, Maria is a supporter of domestic violence survivors and an expert in mental health crisis support for the communities she serves. She joined the Unite Oregon team in 2015 to mobilize in the area of education. Based on her personal experiences, Maria has been able to offer her skills and develop tools to help others in the community navigate the public school system.
