Oscar Guerra-Vera is the child of Mexican immigrant parents and a descendant of O’dami (Tepehuan) Indigenous peoples. Oscar has worked for Rockwood neighborhood parents at the Centennial School District as a Bilingual Liaison, serving K-12 student needs in diverse ELD classrooms. Oscar previously facilitated mentorship programing for Latino, Native and LGBT youth at Big Brothers Big Sisters in Seattle, WA. Oscar has a B.A. in Ethnic Studies and Spanish from the University of Oregon.
