Nicthé Verdugo recently graduated from Oregon State University with a B.A. in Ethnic Studies and a minor in Social Justice. In college, Nicthé was strongly involved in student organizing and worker’s rights organizing through two National organizations, M.E.Ch.A. (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlán) and USAS (United Students Against Sweatshops). Her upbringing, education, and involvement with these organizations, have been key in planting the seed for social justice. She hopes that her involvement with Unite Oregon will give her the tools to continue to grow as an individual, organizer, and social change agent.
