Maria Bartolome is the Parent Organizer for Roosevelt High School in the Portland Public School District through the Building Undergraduates through Inclusive Leadership Development (BUILD) Program. She provides parents trainings around advocacy, navigating the school system, and increasing educational opportunities. As participants share their experiences, learn from one another, they mobilize themselves into action.

Graduated from Portland State University with my Bachelor in Social Work, and minor in International Studies, with the future interest in community impact, equity, and working with minority communities. Also, an Alumni from Roosevelt High School graduation year 2011. Born in Fresno, California, and raised in Portland, Oregon. In addition, enjoy’s attending her community church as a Children Ministry teacher, giving bible sessions to children. Now seeking to contribute my experience, skills and expertise to the BUILD Team at Unite Oregon.
