Dora Asana Perry, who hails from Nigeria, has lived and worked in Portland for more than 25 years, serving Portland residents in both paid and volunteer capacities. She has worked for community organizations and major financial institutions educating and advocating for the housing, safety and health needs of everyone, especially those in communities of color. Her passion for social justice and commitment to diversity spans interracial, intergenerational and interfaith groups. Dora recently worked as Policy Advisor to Portland City Commissioner Amanda Fritz and currently works in the Bureau of Development Services at the City of Portland.
